Jax Taylor “collapsed” when he learned that Brittany Cartwright was hooking up his friend, with Julian Sensley.
In his exposé with US Weekly, Jax detailed the “breaking point” that led him to getting sober.
The (incestuous) friend group:
One thing about the original cast of Vanderpump Rules is they have a history of hooking up within the friend group. Jax is no stranger to stepping out on the women he’s in relationships with for members of their clique, ahem … Kristen Doute and Faith Stowers.
When the tables turned on Jax, he “lost it.”
Brittany and Julian started “talking” after her separation from Jax. Jax described finding out was like “a serious slap in the face.”
“I brought this person into my circle! When I found out, I collapsed.”
Jax lost his sh*t with his son in the car:
“I relapsed shortly after my first [rehab] stay. In November, Brittany’s phone was plugged into my car, I saw another man’s name and lost it.” (Brit was seen on multiple occasions with The Bachelorette’s Tanner Courtad when Jax was in rehab.)
Jax explained, “Unfortunately, my son was in the car” when he melted down. “I had flashes of everything you’re not supposed to do as a parent.”
Brittany demanded Jax “go back [to rehab]. I didn’t put up a fight.”
This isn’t the first time Jax blamed Brit and Julian for this downward spiral:
In November, Jax whined about Julian boning Brittany although they agreed to see other people.
“There [were] some things that happened during the separation that I just can’t come back from. There were relations that she had with friends of mine.”
“We were sitting in my house, and her phone was on the coffee table, and a message popped up. I looked at it. It was a simple message from Julian, but it was at night. It was just a very weird message” that contributed to Jax’s breakdown.
“I called her on it, and I caught her in a couple of lies. Then, I got it out of her. An hour into the conversation, she finally broke and told me. That’s where it started.”
