Former Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy returned to SUR to a crowd full of fans ready to party with the DJ.
James hasn’t DJed at any of Lisa Vanderpump‘s restaurants since his domestic violence arrest in 2024, in which the victim chose not to press charges. Fans were divided over LVP and her team’s choice to have him back.

Insight from a Las Vegas resident … James may not have gotten DJ gigs for LVP since last December, he’s been DJing in Las Vegas again for months now. I see his billboards all the time. In fact, he’s DJing at the pool at the Fontainebleau this weekend.
James had been put on pause after the DV night:
The former VPR star was removed from all his January gigs at LIV the Fountainbleau. His dates, 1/4/2025, 1/18/2025, 1/31/2025, are blacked out and labeled ‘Special Guest.’
His Dallas gigs had pivoted to other DJs as well. James was slated to DJ at the Komodo Club on January 17, 2025. While he promoted the gig on his Instagram page, the club canceled James’s appearance.
FYI, James was arrested on 12/10, but the news didn’t drop until 12/12. The day following his Domestic Violence arrest, James lost 1,259 followers. For the record, he still has 1M following his IG account.
