Summer House alum Hannah Berner treated TMJ with injections to relieve jaw tension, but suffered an unexpected side effect.
The Giggly Squad podcast co-host joked that this situation needed an “emergency press conference.”
Hannah revealed on TikTok that she’s not physically able to smile. The injections have made it impossible for her to pull the sides of her mouth upward.
“Like joy, laughter is my life. That’s all I care about,” explained a square-smiled Hannah. “We’re gonna get through this. Pray for me. I’ve turned to religion. Stay safe out there in these streets.”
Hannah got Dysport injections to alleviate tension in her temporomandibular joint, or TMJ. She noticed a problem with her smile a week after the injections, turning her smile into more of a grimace. Thankfully, the injections last for up to 6 months. The body naturally breaks down the neurotoxin during that time.
