Next Gen NYC‘s Gia Giudice is officially one step closer to becoming a restaurateur!
The eldest dorter of Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice hosted a friends-and-family event at her upcoming Italian restaurant, Il Vero, in Westwood, New Jersey, giving guests a first taste of what she and her business partner, Maria Sausa, have been cooking up.
With recipe and vibe consulting from Gia’s mom, Il Vero is designed to bring the family’s Italian traditions to the restaurant world.
The name Il Vero translates from Italian to “the real thing” or “the truth.”
“Last night, Gia Giudice opened the doors to Il Vero Westwood in Westwood, NJ,” NJ Weekly captioned the video. “Rooted in family, food, and the Italian traditions she grew up with, Il Vero came to life on a cozy yet elevated rooftop that made the evening truly unforgettable.”
NJ Monthly attended the pre-opening celebration and shared a video of Gia and the restaurant on Instagram.
The guest list included Gia’s sister Gabriella Giudice attended alongside RHONJ stars Melissa and Joe Gorga and Dolores Catania. Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks was also spotted at the event.
Teresa’s two other dorters, Milania and Audriana Giudice, were not seen in the photos and videos from the celebration.
Gia first announced her plans to open an Italian restaurant in June, revealing that Teresa would have a major role in the project. “I’m actually opening up a restaurant,” Gia explained. “My mom is just heavily involved in, like, the interior design and obviously the menu makeup.”
Gia also had high praise for her mother’s cooking, promising, “You’re never going to eat a better Italian meal.”
Teresa explained that she wants her family to run, rather than own, the restaurant. Their goal is to “Keep our family legacy going.”
