Next Gen NYC‘s Georgia McCann detailed the “epic” party she threw for Anna Delvey at the infamous fraudster’s downtown Manhattan apartment.
ICYMI, the short-lived Dancing With the Stars competitor was imprisoned for defrauding individuals and businesses out of tens of thousands of dollars. Her story was immortalized in the 2022 Netflix mini-series “Inventing Anna” starring Julia Garner.
House Party:
Georgia told Virtual Reali-Tea Anna “was under house arrest at the time” of the January 2023 bash. “I was like, ‘What if we turn her apartment she’s under house arrest in, which was like a one-bedroom in the East Village and a walk-up, into like the hottest nightclub in New York for one night?’”
If Georgia were able to execute such a concept, it would be an “absolutely foolproof” success … and she was right. The Club House Arrest soiree attracted a buzzy crowd, including designer Cynthia Rowley and her daughter, Rachel Rabbit White, Cat Marnell, Ben Widdicombe, and Dr. Alexander Blinski. “It was just an epic mix of people.”
Privacy measures:
“I hired security,” explained Georgia. “It was fully, like, a residential building. And we had hundreds of people coming in. We had local news trying to break in,” she says. “Everyone had to sign an NDA.”
Insiders alleged Anna asked for SSNs with guests’ signatures. Most partygoers chose to provide fake numbers or leave the space blank given the host’s criminal past, LOL.
360 Party Girl:
Despite being under house arrest during the soiree, Anna Delvey was thrilled with her unconventional celebration, ankle monitor and all. “She was so gung-ho about it,” the Bravolebrity shares. “She was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’ And then we just got it together.”
Anna’s neighbors were not only unbothered by the event, but they were delighted to be in its proximity. “The girls who lived down the hall from her were so excited about the whole thing.”
“They let Anna use their apartment as a green room. She just had a one-bedroom and we stuffed 100 people in there.”
