Dancing With the Stars pros Emma Slater and Val Chmerkovskiy may have slipped up at Miami Swim Week, but they showed their unwavering professionalism … even when they were down (literally).
During their performance, which was temporarily interrupted due to rain, Emma and Val wiped out on the catwalk during group choreography that also included Britt Stewart, Jenna Johnson, and Hailey Bills.
Videos show Val slipping … and Emma going down with him. Clips of the incident have since gone viral. Emma reflected, “Woke up ready to see my photos from the Sports Illustrated runway show. All I’m seeing online is videos of me and Val falling onstage. Can’t believe we did that!”
In the caption she added, “In front of SO MANY PEOPLE!! It would be us @Val 😂 Ok, there’s a back story though. Plexiglass runway and Florida rain.”
Proving that not all heroes wear capes, Val’s first response was to make sure Emma was ok. Fans clocked Val’s chivalry. “Val is the best, the way he checks in immediately. 👏” Another wrote, “The way he did not hesitate to take the blame and make his partner feel better 🥺🥺🥺.”
Emma impressed DWTS fans. “AND SHE WAS STILL POINTING THOSE TOES 👏👏👏” Another wondered, “How does she look beautiful and graceful while falling? She’s a goddess.”
