Destination X (America’s Version) is coming to NBC.
Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan hosts the competition show based on Belgium’s show with the same name that features a mix of reality TV personalities and normies battling for a prize of $250K.
What to expect:
It’s giving major ‘Where In the World Is Carmen Sandiego’ meets ‘The DaVinci Code’ vibes, imho.
NBC teased, “With a whopping $250,000 in prize money at stake, contestants will put their sleuthing skills to the test as they try to decipher where in the world they are with nothing but a few well-placed clues and their own cunning gameplay skills to guide them.”
Their goal … Find out where the X they are.
The cast:
In addition to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who I know and love from The Walking Dead, familiar faces from Bachelor Nation, Love Island USA, and Big Brother are competing to be the traveler who takes home the $250K prize.
JaNa Craig from season six of Love Island USA worried outside of a creepy destination. “I don’t do haunted castles.” The only ghost I believe in is the Holy Ghost.”
Season 25’s lead on The Bachelor, Peter Weber, is also competing for the prize after losing out on the prize money from his time on The Traitors US season 2.
Big Brother season 19 winner Josh Martinez is also among the 12 contestants. He’s been featured as a repeat competitor on The Challenge.
The other nine contestants are regular people without any reality TV credits on their resumes.
Destination X premieres on NBC on May 27 at 10 p.m.
