Taylor Frankie Paul‘s ex, Dakota Mortensen, is dating Miranda Hope‘s friend, Shinia Powell.
After months of speculation, sources close to Secret Lives of Mormon Wives personalities Dakota and Shinia told PEOPLE that the pair are dating.
“Shinia has been a steady source of support for Dakota through some incredibly difficult times, especially when he did not have immediate family nearby. Their close friendship has naturally grown into something more, and they are enjoying their time together while thoughtfully navigating what that means for them and their children.”
Allegedly, Dakota and Shinia know their relationship will likely attract media attention, so “they respectfully ask that people remain mindful of their privacy and feelings as they work as a team to move forward in a healthy way within an already tumultuous environment.”
Shinia is a single mother to a 6-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son. She is open about her life post-LDS Church, her passion for fitness, and her advocacy for men’s mental health awareness following the loss of her three brothers to suicide.
