Summer House star Ciara Miller traded the ballroom for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, where she served up a little Coyote Ugly nostalgia — alongside her Dancing With the Stars partner, Brandon Armstrong.
While chatting with Entertainment Tonight on the VMAs red carpet Sunday, Ciara revealed that her outfit was inspired by Tyra Banks’ iconic look from the 2000s movie Coyote Ugly. She paired the throwback-inspired ensemble with “sick” Tom Ford platforms. “God bless my ankles and, hopefully, we can make it to the ballroom,” she joked.
Ciara attended the VMAs alongside Brandon, her professional partner for Season 35 of DWTS. The pair are already preparing to take the ballroom floor for Yacht Rock Night, where they’ll dance to (my personal fav) Luther Vandross song, Never Too Much.
Ciara’s VMAs appearance also served as a celebration of Shaboozey, whom she introduced before his performance of Cowgirl.
The Summer House star previously appeared in the music video for the song, which dropped in June. Cowgirl earned Shaboozey two VMAs nominations this year: Best Country and Best Cinematography.
While speaking with Rolling Stone at the VMAs, Ciara joked about her recent run of projects. “With Dancing With the Stars and this music video, I’m taking a lot of direction from straight men these days and it’s crazy,” she quipped.
The reality TV star then stepped onto the VMAs stage to introduce the country star, with Snoop Dogg giving her a very apropos intro. “Let’s keep the energy going with the Queen of Summer House, Ciara Miller.”
Ciara explained that Shaboozey’s new album was inspired by the Western movies he loves, particularly his admiration for strong female characters. “So, naturally, he called me,” Ciara beamed.
