Cheryl Burke isn’t staying silent when it comes to body-shaming — and she’s calling out those who should know better.
Following her guest-judging appearance on Dancing with the Stars Halloween Night, the former pro faced online criticism over her scoring and appearance… including a jab from influencer Alix Earle’s stepmother, Ashley Dupré.
ICYMI: Alix earned an impressive 39/40, with Cheryl being the only judge to give her a 9.
After the scoring, Ashley chimed in on social media with a low-blow remark aimed at Cheryl:
“Oh, go take more Ozempic.”
Ashley wasn’t the only one commenting on Cheryl’s physical appearance — but Cheryl made it clear where she stands.
Defending her score and her decades of expertise, the 2x Mirrorball champ said:
“My comments didn’t just come out of nowhere. They came from personal experience. From 26 seasons on this show. From being trained and coached myself.”
Cheryl added that she’s totally fine if people disagree with her critiques, but what she won’t tolerate is body-shaming:
“You don’t have to agree with my critique, but you do have to recognize the influence your words have on the next generation watching you. If that’s the example you choose to set, then please, I beg of you, leave my name out of it.”
