Brooke Candy clapped back at Erika ‘Jayne’ Girardi for failing to mention the song, Drip, was recorded by Brooke and Erika was a feature on Brooke Candy’s track.
For context, Brooke and Erika collaborated on Drip back in 2019. The song was featured in the 2024 Academy Award-winning film Anora.
Brooke Candy deserves her flowers:
Reunion host Andy Cohen congratulated Erika on the song’s success. Erika failed to credit Brooke Candy for laying down the track. Erika simply remarked, “I’m a feature on the song.”
Brooke popped off on TikTok. “Girl, why could you have not used that moment to give me my flowers? I put you on that song on an album, which mind you, featured incredible artists.” In addition to Erika, Charli XCX, Iggy Azalea, Violet Chachki, and Aquaria were featured on Brooke Candy’s album.

She came with receipts:
In an interview with Page Six, she revealed how Erika snubbed her on an Instagram post when promoting Anora.
The musician told the publication, “I’m a part of this article because I’d like to be a voice for all independent artists everywhere. We are so often overlooked, we’re so often stolen from, we’re so often unable to make a living for ourselves.”
Brooke Candy explained how she personally managed the deal to get Drip into Anora’s soundtrack. Once the film started getting buzz, the film’s production company arranged for a handful of promotional screenings. Erika was asked to host a screening and failed to invite Brooke Candy.
When Erika posted about the event to Instagram, she wrote in the caption that the screening was to celebrate “my song Drip.” It wasn’t until Brooke texted Erika that she updated the post. Now, the caption says she was celebrating “the song Drip with myself and @brookecandy.”
Brooke declared Erika “is the antithesis of an empathetic compassionate artist just fighting to live and fighting to get by.”
She didn’t stop there. Brooke Candy stated, “You don’t do this as an artist.” That’s when it clicked for Brooke Candy. “She’s not an artist. She doesn’t get it.”
@brookecandy So I collaborated with Erica Jayne 🍵 Part 2 (and gonna just leave it here tbh) #rhobh #bravo #anora #erikajayne #realhousewivesofbeverlyhills #andycohen ♬ original sound – Brooke Candy
This isn’t the first time a dance music icon blasted EJ for not crediting their work:
In December of 2023, Dutch pop singer, Amber named and shamed EJ for using and lip-syncing to one of her tracks in her Las Vegas Residency show without permission.
*In case you aren’t into 90s dance music … Amber is responsible for the club BANGERS: If You Could Read My Mind, Sexual (La Da Di), and This Is Your Night …*
