Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s ‘friend of’ Britani Bateman claims her daughters “ghosted” her when she started filming Bravo TV‘s hit reality show.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Britani discussed the hardships she endured with her kids as a result of filming.
Estranged:
Britani explained, “The first season, neither one of them wanted anything to do with it. They’ve been hearing rumors at the time that I was on. Olivia wanted to film with me initially, and then my other daughter [Taylor] didn’t. I knew that, but then they both ended up ghosting me when they started hearing rumors that I was crap talking them on the show.”
Britani maintained she doesn’t know where the rumors originated, but she was estranged from her girls for several months.
“It felt like years, but it probably was, like, February to June. It was a long time. And then finally, in June, my sister sat down with one of my daughters and said, ‘What is going on?’ My younger sister, who was closer to my daughters at that point, said, ‘What is going on with you? Why won’t you speak to your mom?’”
While Britani didn’t detail how she and her daughters mended their relationship, she promised fans will see what transpired on RHOSLC.
Current status:
Britani did, however, hint that everyone is in a more positive place today. “I feel like I can tease that things have changed for the better. For me, if we’re going forward in a positive way, that’s all I can ask for in this world.”
“You’ll have to just tune in and see because it’s played out pretty detailed on the show, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Britani is hopeful that her family’s story can “help other people.”
At the same time, she hopes viewers understand that she never intended to choose a man (Jared Osmond) over her kids.
