Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville thinks she may be infected with “sexually transmitted ringworm” in her throat.
Ringworm is a fungal infection that can affect the hair, skin, or nails, according to the CDC. It can spread through skin-to-skin or sexual contact, which causes more severe infections.
On her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, the former model, who thought a parasite lived in her face for the last few years, discussed her symptoms with her guest, Lisa Ann.
“I have a quick question,” began Brandi. “Have you heard about sexually transmitted ringworm? I feel like I have it in my throat.”
Explaining that she was in a sexual relationship with someone who wanted to avoid pregnancy, “He would only, you know, on my face.” Brandi poked fun at her age. “He didn’t know that ship had sailed. I’m like, ‘OK, whatever, I’m not going to correct you. Alright, honey.’”
Brandi continued, “I really just heard about ringworm yesterday, and they can apparently … burrow in, like, if it’s in your throat. If it’s in your throat, they can burrow deep into your ears and all that.”
Multiple tests concluded Brandi had not contracted a disease.
