Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix are “not doing well working together” at Something About Her, as per online rumors.
According to a Reddit user, the Vanderpump Rules alums relationship has soured since Ariana is spending more time in their popular West Hollywood sandwich shop.
Ariana and Katie’s feud allegations:
“K, here’s the tea I can’t unfortunately prove,” wrote the person who posted the following claims. It was alleged that tension between the Something About Her owners is “bubbling up and has the potential to get bad.”
The wrote, “When Ariana was busy last year with her million commitments, Katie started feeling resentful – I think she even acknowledged it. However, I guess be careful what you wish for. Now that Ariana is more focused on the Something About Her, [she] and Katie have been butting heads because they have different visions, working styles, etc.”
“Apparently they operate like night and day.”
“Initially, I think they thought their differences would compliment each other, but it’s not. It’s just causing resentment. Maybe it would have been different if Ariana was involved from the beginning, but Katie is like “Where have you been? We’ve been operating just fine without you. NOW you have all these thoughts and input?!'”
Ariana and Katie “have a bunch of mutual friends. So, between that and the business, they’re trying to get past it. But, it’s becoming awkward for their common friends. They used to bring up Something About Her as conversation. But, now friends try to avoid bringing it up because they don’t want to be put in the middle.”
The public opinion of it all:
Allegedly, their friends are “scared” that they will be asked to “choose sides.” What’ happening between Katie and Ariana was even compared “to a break up.”
“In one venting session, Katie made a comment something like, ‘I see now why we’ve never been close before.'” She is “very aware of public perception.” Allegedly, Katie is “scared” to say anything that would be seen as critical- even constructive criticism since “so many people are on the Ariana Train and she’s the It Girl now.” Katie worries, allegedly, that people will choose Ariana over her.
The Reddit user looked at the situation from Katie’s POV. Never forget, Katie originally wanted to open a sandwich shop with her then-husband, Tom Schwartz. But, Tom chose focusing on his business with Tom Sandoval. “I’m also guessing that a marriage with someone that didn’t choose her is playing into feeling that way,” they wrote. “Nobody will ever choose her if given the option of her and [Ariana is] someone so beloved.”
