Andy Cohen, aka Bravo Daddy, has spoken!
Andy finally addressed the Vanderpump Rules sized elephant in the room following news season 12 would feature an entirely new cast of SURvers.
“This is, first of all, the absolute right thing to do,” Andy said on Radio Andy.
“I am so impressed with how production kept the show going over the last four years when slowly but surely none of them were working at SUR. The entire point of the show morphed and changed as it went on.”

Over the years, the audience began to point out the show had lost its plot prior to ‘Scandoval’ at the tail end of season 10. It was obvious that the show was on its last leg, but the drama breathed fresh air into the franchise. Albeit, at the detriment of Ariana Madix‘s mental health.
James Kennedy continued his See You Next Tuesday DJ set, but beyond that, the OG cast went on to live their respective lives — Interweaving them for the sake of the show.
Lala Kent said the cast dreaded filming with one another, especially during it’s final season that prompted the cast shake up.
“And then you have others who don’t want to be in the same room, much less on the same show with each other and that makes sense.”
“I think this is a very smart programming move.”
Final Thoughts
The success of Vanderpump Rules is one that will likely become a blueprint for reality shows to come. To include the rebooted show, which will begin filming in the new year.
The OG cast and crew pumped out many iconic seasons, but as viewers and the network noticed, there wasn’t much story left to tell within this group.
The Bravo TV front man also noted that had it not been for “Scandoval,” it might have ended even earlier.
At the time, many Bravo fans called for the show to be ‘on pause’ after a few humdrum seasons. However, the scandal reminded us of how good the show truly is and was. The good thing is we will always have the SUR alley. Thank goodness for Peacock!
“Watch the last 5 minutes [of the finale] it felt like an absolute series finale,” Andy concluded.
