Alex Cooper might’ve just thrown some shade at her once-protégé, Alix Earle.
Not only do these two share a name, a vibe, and a similar look — they were also business partners once upon a time.
To catch you up: Alex Cooper recently hosted Unwell Vegas, a live event blending her Daddy Gang brand with pop culture’s biggest influencers and reality stars.
At the end of the weekend, Alex dropped a flashy highlight reel set to “Circus” by Britney Spears.
Harmless, right? Well, not so fast.
Fans who’ve been deep in the lore quickly noticed “Circus” was also the exact song Alix Earle used for her Dancing with the Stars debut performance earlier this year.
Coincidence? Maybe. But the caption made fans raise their eyebrows even more.
“How much time do you have? ’Cause we could go all night 😉,” Alex wrote — which just so happens to echo a shady TikTok reply Alix once made when asked about their rumored fallout.
ICYMI: The two reportedly fell out over business disagreements and conflicting career visions.
In August 2023, Alex announced the Unwell Network, signing Alix as one of its first creators.
But when Alix skipped Unwell’s Super Bowl party, despite being in town — fans clocked the divide.
Just weeks later, Hot Mess was dropped from the Unwell roster.
Variety later reported that Unwell “renounced all rights” to the show, but Alix claimed she couldn’t relaunch elsewhere.
However, Alex publicly denied those allegations.
So… was Alex Cooper being shady or just cheeky with her song choice and caption?
As a petty person myself, I can definitely see it.
