The Traitors host Alan Cumming is spilling the tea on one of his least favorite parts of filming the Peacock reality competition, and it involves a lot of sweat.
During an interview with SiriusXM, the show’s Emmy-winning host revealed that he doesn’t love the process of meeting the contestants for the first time because of the conditions he has to endure during interviews.
“I hate meeting the contestants for the first time,” Alan admitted. “I have to sit in front of a really hot fire for about four hours and interview them all one after the other. And I’m practically melting.”
“I do sweat in that situation,” Alan Cumming explained. “I’m also wearing a kilt, so you sort of stick to the chair. They just come in for 10 minutes and they’re all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. I’ve been there for four hours.”
He acknowledged that keeping his energy up while filming the interviews can be challenging.
“It’s a lot trying to remain perky,” Alan said, clarifying that while the experience is difficult, he doesn’t exactly hate it. “No, I don’t hate that; it’s a bit of an ordeal.”
For those watching The Traitors: New Blood, you know Alan isn’t the only one getting “sweaty” inside the castle. In episode 2 of the season was called I’m a Sweaty Boy, Victor was targeted because of his tendency to sweat. Unfortunately for the Faithfuls, his perspiration is simply a bodily function, not a red herring.
