Vicki Gunvalson was caught in a hot mic moment after she made an appearance on Nick Viall‘s podcast.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star was heard talking off-camera following her Zoom interview on Tuesday’s episode of The Viall Files podcast. It turns out, Vicki didn’t end the call before she started throwing shade.
The interview:
For the record, Vicki was in Mexico on vacation with her boyfriend and didn’t want to do this podcast in the first place. She noted miscommunications between her and Nick’s teams.
“Because I canceled [the interview] and I didn’t know that they didn’t cancel it and I’ve got my 400 meetings today. So, yeah, you owe me,” she said.
“Because I’m doing this and I didn’t want to be doing this, I’m very, very busy. Vicki ended up “making it work” because “there was a disconnect” on her staff’s end.
Hot mic moment:
During her vacay, Vicki was overheard saying, “That was a favor to her dad.” (We are unsure for whom Vicki was doing the favor for, BTW.)
Other grumblings about Nick’s credentials could be deciphered, including, “He’s got seven million views.” Vicki continued, “I was a guest on his show. He’s got his own network, his own show, his own thing. I’ve never heard of him.”
She even mispronounced the former Bachelor’s name!
Reactions from Nick’s camp:
His wife, Natalie Joy was “at a loss for words” when she heard the OG of the OC’s unfiltered thoughts. “I just started sweating so incredibly bad. I’m not going to lie. She is an icon.”
Natalie continued, “I am not OK. That gave me really bad anxiety. I was waiting for her to clock back in and be like, ‘Oh my God!’”
Nick handled Vicki’s shade with grace. “There’s no breath [in me],” he joked. He thanked Vicki for the funny moment before moving on with the podcast.
Vicki proved she was in on the joke when she made an reel on Instagram of her ‘working hard’ from Mexico with the hot mic moment sound in the background.
