RPDR Winner Tyra Sanchez Arrested For Assaulting An Officer

The winner of the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Tyra Sanchez, was arrested.

TMZ obtained an arrest report after the drag performer (born James William Ross IV) was in a minor car accident. The issue wasn’t a result of the automobile accident, but Tyra’s response to the officer who arrived at the scene.

Police reported Tyra “jumped out of the car and started yelling at the cop.” Although “the officer tried to calm down Tyra,” it didn’t work. “When the cop tried to slap on handcuffs, she allegedly threatened to shoot the officer.”

After threatening the officer, the RPDR alum allegedly tried to reach into her car. The police officer “put her in a bear hug … and eventually deployed a taser.”

‘The other Tyra‘ may have gotten tased, but she managed to get away from law enforcement on foot. It wasn’t long before she was caught and arrested for “assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting without violence.”
