Teddi Mellencamp‘s skin cancer journey has taken a positive turn as the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared news from her latest check-up.

Teddi took to social media to share a video celebrating her great news. “Going in for my continual 3-month skin checks is never easy, began the mother of three. “The anxiety always takes over; the thought of another biopsy, another surgery, another addition to the scar on my back.”
“I always end up crying. But, today, the tears were those of joy. Because for the first time, there wasn’t anything abnormal, nothing that needed an extra look. And I am grateful.”
“I’m grateful for my doctors, nurses, family, friends, and all of you for your continual support. As long as you’re here, I have a reason to keep advocating for myself and for others.”
“And if you need to get your skin checked but have yet to make an appointment… what are you waiting for?”
“Scar update:”
Teddi dropped a message with the photo of the scar on her back.
“What incredible doctors and nurses I have had throughout these surgeries. Over 1,000 stitches later.”
Teddi concluded her message with a piece of advice to her followers. “Get your skin checked, please.”
Below Deck’s Jason Chambers Was Diagnosed with Melanoma:
While we are on the subject of getting our skin checked … Teddi isn’t the only Bravo TV personality fighting skin cancer. Below Deck Down Under’s Captain shared his recent melanoma diagnosis. Jason took to Instagram to give an update on his health.
“For someone that spent their life in the sun, as a child playing sports to working on the ocean, I thought I was resistant to the damaging effects of the sun,” Jason captioned his video to his 340,000 followers.
“I love the sun and its health benefits are evident, but be wise, and like everything in life, it’s all about balance, choose your battles.” In the video, we learned that Jason underwent a biopsy of his abdomen while in Bali. Find out more about Captain Jason’s health.
