Teddi Mellencamp defended her decision to date and foster a dog while she battles cancer.
During an episode of the Two T’s In a Pod, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star clapped back at her critics.
Teddi wants to live:
“People have been coming for me for fostering a dog and dating.”
Her critics believe “The only thing she should be worrying about right now is her kids and staying alive, and how in the world could she be dating?”
The equestrian explained, “I want to put myself in a situation where I’m staying busy, so I’m not getting depressed. Why have a problem with that?”
While the internet has incessantly reminded her of her condition, Teddi revealed her doctor gave her advice to continue living her life despite her diagnosis. “My doctor said, ‘Now that I follow you on Instagram, I see some of the stuff that people write.’”
“I really don’t want you to think about your cancer as terminal. Just because that happened to somebody’s friend, aunt, brother, or cousin doesn’t mean that’s what’s happening to you. You should be having fun and trying to laugh,” explained Teddi’s doctor.
While this advice makes Teddi feel better, she admitted the criticism does “bother” her. “I’m at least feeling better, in the way that I’m working out four or five times a week.”
“Fostering this new puppy has been really nice. It’s given the kids a new source of happiness,” she shared.
Tamra Judge entered the chat:
Tammy Sue had words for Teddi’s critics. The longest running Real Housewife in history told them to “f–k off.”
“There’s not a day that you’re not worried about your health, getting better, doing everything that you can do and spending time constantly with your children.”
Angry and irritated, Tamra continued, “Like, shut the f*ck up, honestly. If you wanna date, life doesn’t stop because you have cancer.”
