Tamra Judge is crying happy tears after reconnecting with her eldest daughter, Sidney Barney.
During part 1 of The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion, the Bravo vet revealed that she and Sidney recently shared a heartfelt moment at her home when Sidney stopped by to pick up her sister, Sophia, for lunch.
“I went outside and we hugged. We talked about life for about 30 minutes,” Tamra shared, describing Sidney as “very sweet.”
Tamra added that she feels her daughter is finally coming around after years of distance.
ICYMI: Tamra and Sidney’s relationship has been strained for years.
Sidney previously alleged that her mother prioritized fame over family, even calling her “emotionally abusive” and “neglectful.”
When Tamra and her ex-husband Simon Barney divorced, Sidney chose to live with her father at just 14.
Another major rift came when Tamra repeatedly spoke about Sidney online and on RHOC. Especially since Sidney requested to keep their relationship private.
But after years of estrangement, it seems the mother-daughter duo are doing better than ever.
“She said, ‘Mom, can I hug you goodbye?’ And she hugged me, and I just held onto her for so long,” Tamra recalled through tears.
“I just said, ‘I can’t let you go. I just can’t let you go.’ It was such a really, really special moment.”
While Sidney’s feelings about her upbringing remain valid, her younger sister, Sophia, has always been vocal about how much she adores her mom.
Maybe now Sidney’s beginning to see a more grounded version of Tamra — the one her siblings have experienced.
