Broadway artist Sutton Foster avoided red carpet reporters after Hugh Jackman‘s estranged wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, commented on the “traumatic journey of betrayal” she’s endured.
After seemingly being cheated on, Deborra-Lee talked to The Daily Mail after she learned Sutton was moving into the home she shared with Hugh.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned:
“Deborra-Lee Furness took a swipe at her estranged husband, Hugh Jackman, amid the flurry of rumors that he cheated on her with his current girlfriend Sutton Foster.”
Following her decision to officially file for divorce two years after announcing their separation, the Australian actress addressed her heartbreak. Deborra-Lee said, “My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.”
“It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.”
“This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.”

Despite Deborra-Lee’s scathing statement, Sutton stepped out smiling at the glitzy event. Sutton was nominated for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Musical, but swiftly exited the red carpet to avoid the press.
Arriving just before the show started, Hugh’s side piece stuck close to her publicist. Sutton was photographed with her co-star Michael Urie, but she avoided the press area.
Sutton was “Nominated alongside Darren Criss, Tom Francis, Jonathan Groff, Audra McDonald, and [Nicole] Scherzinger, all of whom openly answered questions.”
It was noted that Sutton Foster’s avoidance seemed very “deliberate.”
Deborra-Lee was activated:
Sutton began “slowly moving” her belongings into the New York penthouse Hugh bought with Deborra-Lee in 2022. The next day, she spoke to the Daily Mail.

Allegedly, Deborra-Lee is “shattered” that the Younger star is moving into the home she shared with Hugh. “They’re living together; they’re inseparable. Sutton is slowly migrating her things over to Hugh’s place.”
A source spilled, “Deb is shattered knowing Sutton is making the penthouse her own. The place she poured her soul into,” they added.
