During last week’s episode, ‘Dodging Rumors,’ Erin Lichy and Rebecca Minkoff staged a pregnancy prank that went over like a lead balloon.
During an episode of WWHL, Andy Cohen and Jeff Lewis discussed how disappointed they were by the attempt at humor. “I’m not a fan of a prank, I’m going to be honest,” Bravo’s daddy said to RHONY’s Sai De Silva and Jeff Lewis.
Jeff echoed his sentiment adding, “I think its a bad move. I think it’s self-producing. I think you lose trust in your audience.”
Andy also asked Sai if she was picked up on it being a prank having lived it. “My mouth was on the floor, I was completely in shock.”
Same, Sai, same.
Speaking of Sai …
Earlier today, Sai De Silva asked fans to “stick with” RHONY despite “the prank.”
“So many people wrote me, ‘I’m very upset about the prank.’ I was also very upset about the prank.” Sai continued, “I had no idea I was being pranked … which I said on Watch What Happens Live.”
Second, Sai promises it gets more real. “Stick with us, please.”
“The drama in Puerto Rico is very real. It gives me PTSD. Like, I don’t know how I’m a drama-free person, but am in the drama that RHONY brings. I’m stressed.”
She elaborated, “I’m stressed we have to relive the whole entire thing. But, it’s midseason. The season is going by very quickly. Buckle up, buttercups because it’s about to get real.”
RHONY, whose ratings are abysmal, will air after Real Housewives of Beverly Hills at 9pm. Let’s see if they retain any of RHOBH’s viewers from their 8pm time slot …
