RHONJ’S Margaret Josephs Makes $2K Venmo Payment To Settle Lawsuit Out Of Court

Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Margaret Josephs settled a lawsuit out of court thanks to a hefty Venmo payment.

According to reports from The U.S. Sun, Margaret and her former accountant, Stephen B. Wetter‘s case was settled once the RHONJ star sent the plaintiff $2,000 on Venmo three months after the lawsuit was filed.

Once the “certified public accountant who claimed Margaret and her husband, Joe Benigno, owed him money for helping them with their taxes” received payment, “a New Jersey judge signed an order dismissing the case on May 30.”

A source spilled, “Margaret is very pleased the case was dismissed after sending the plaintiff some money to move on peacefully.”

It appears the Josephs and the Wetters are “old family friends and she felt bad for him” so “there are no hard feelings.”

“It would’ve cost her more money to pay an attorney,” added the insider.

Margaret and Joseph are better friends than me – Stephen was busted “faking an attorney’s letter” in an effort to “extort funds.”

If this case had made it to court, Margaret would have likely needed to fork out “$15,000 for services performed plus $5,000 in legal fees” for a grand total of $20,000. $2k doesn’t sound quite so bad, after all!
