Pink is not raising her glass to outlets claiming she and husband Carey Hart have called it quits.
“I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know,” Pink joked in an Instagram video posted Feb. 26.
She continued:
“Thank you, People Magazine. Thank you, Us Weekly. Thanks for letting me know. I was wondering if you’d like to also tell our children.”
ICYMI: The same day Pink shared the video, multiple reports surfaced alleging that after 20 years of marriage, she and Carey had split for good.
Notably, the couple did separate once before in 2008 — a breakup that famously inspired Pink’s hit So What.
They reconciled the following year.
Pink didn’t stop at debunking the rumors.
She also called out the media for prioritizing speculation over real-world issues and her career milestones.
Topics she suggested deserved actual coverage included the Epstein files, the U.S. women’s hockey team snub, and her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination.
“Do you want to talk about my accomplishments, or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?” Pink asked.
Ultimately, the singer labeled the breakup speculation “fake news” and “not true.”
“Trash news. You can do better,” she concluded.
