Meredith Marks hilariously accepted the award for the Best Picture – Literal Picture at the prestigious Las Culturistas Culture Awards on behalf of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast.
The photograph – Four Women On A Beach – featured the iconic scene from RHOSLC when Meredith, Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, and Whitney Rose met apart from the other women on the cast trip to Bermuda upon Heather’s request. Paired with ominous cinematography and a chilling score, Heather explained that Monica Garcia was one of the bullies behind the Instagram account, @RealityVonTease, who harassed them for years. True cinema.
The speech:
“This award is not just for me and my friends on a beach, but for ALL women and ALL friends on a beach. Unless, … ” Meredith couldn’t resist the opportunity to throw shade at her former cast mate, Monica … “that woman happens to run a troll account.”
“I’m so happy a camera was present when we redefined what it means to be in despair by the ocean. Big Little Lies, eat your heart out. Look, despite the ruuuuhhmmuuurs and the nastiness, last season on Salt Lake, Lisa, Whitney, Heather, and I were able to come together – in Bermuda – and for about 15 minutes, we were on the same page. Did it last? You’ll have to wait and see.”
“I am now going to ‘disengage’ from the stage by following my own advice, ‘You Can Leave!'”
The pop culture award show, hosted by Matt Rogers and Boyen Yang, featured dozens of additional categories and awards including, Most Beautiful Name for a Daughter You Haven’t Even Thought of Yet, How Dare You Award for Betrayal, Best Word to Scream, the Julia Fox Award for Overall Excellence, and the Zendaya Award for First Name That Doesn’t Need a Last Name and more.
