Melissa Gorga would like to remain a full-time cast member on Real Housewives of New Jersey, but not if Teresa Giudice returns. During an episode of Two T’s In a Pod, Tamra Judge asked Melissa how she’d react if Bravo TV asked her sister-in-law back to the show.
Melissa on future RHONJ casting:
“I am prepared for anything at this point. Obviously, because of all the rumors out there, I am fully prepared for anything,” explained Melissa. “I think I would realize that her and I are two extremely different characters so to speak on the show. So, if Bravo decides to go that route – the darker route – then I need to say that is not a show I want to be on anyway.”
Melissa clarified, “I do want to be on the Real Housewives of New Jersey.” But, “I do not want to be on that toxic shit. So, as long as [Teresa] is there and that whole thing would come back …” Melissa would rather not film. “I wouldn’t find it as a loss,” added Melissa.
Nothing lasts forever:
“I’ve had a 14 year run. You can’t do it forever – you cannot,” added Melissa. “You don’t go and be on a tv show for 50 years, 20 years. I’ve been on for 14 years. So, do I want to come back? Do I hope that they do something a little fresh and new? Of course. I’m not going to lie to everyone.”
“I do hope that there [are] some changes. I don’t know that I’ll be a part of them. I don’t. And, I don’t think anybody knows. But, if they choose that route, then that’s something I don’t even want to be on it anyway. So, I feel like it’s a good time to say, ‘It’s time.'”
