Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby’s son, Robert Cosby Jr., has found himself in serious legal trouble.
According to TMZ, Robert Jr. was arrested just outside Salt Lake City on Saturday and booked on multiple charges: criminal trespassing, assault, failure to stop at the command of law enforcement, and three counts of violating a court order.
Police were reportedly responding to a domestic violence call when things escalated.
Officers claim Robert Jr. attempted to break into his father-in-law’s home — allegedly through a dog door — before assaulting someone on the front lawn.
When police arrived, they say the 22-year-old initially refused to comply with orders to get on the ground. He eventually surrendered and was taken into custody.
This news comes shortly after Mary gave a hopeful update about her son on an episode of Reality Checked, saying Robert Jr. was “doing as good as he can” in his sobriety journey — though she admitted both she and her husband were still worried.
We can only hope Robert Jr. gets the support and help he needs during this difficult time.
