Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Mary Cosby thanked some of her cast members for supporting her when she stepped away from the show, all while throwing shade at others for not standing up for her.
During the interview for Us Weekly’s RHOSLC cover story, Mary dropped names of those who were in her corner and which ‘wives weren’t.
Filming reality TV was not what Mary anticipated:
Mary explained that she needed time away from the show after filming the first two seasons. “I actually did walk away because I felt like I needed it for my mental and physical health.”
“It was too much for me. I didn’t come in knowing what I had to do. I didn’t realize I was going to be fighting and arguing and trying to find a problem with someone.” Mary declared, “I just don’t live my life like that.”
“So, I took a step back. I took a year off.
NAME ‘EM:
Mary thanked her friends who didn’t give up on her.
“I have to give the credit to Meredith [Marks]. She held on to me. She’s like, ‘Are you going to come back?’ She kept my name present and she kept me present. I’m thankful for that because I wouldn’t have come back.”
“Also, Heather [Gay], too. I remember when I did come back for the friend part, Andy asked Heather, ‘Do you think you guys need Mary?'” Mary tuned to Heather to thank her. “You were the one to say yes.”
In one fell swoop, Mary pivoted from complimenting Meredith and Heather to slamming Lisa Barlow and Whitney Rose. Mary looked Lisa in the eyes to say “You didn’t.” Then, she whipped her head back to glare at Whitney, “You didn’t.”
While Whitney looked like it was a miscommunication, Lisa gushed about the religious leader. “I need Mary; I love Mary. I’m glad she’s here.” Peep Whitney’s face when Lisa kisses up to Mary …
