Teresa Giudice‘s husband, Louie Ruelas, “begged” for more time to pay their tax debt.
According to reports from the US Sun, the Real Husband of New Jersey has “requested an extension on the loan – and for $250,000 more.”
For context:
Luis, who is the sole owner of the LLC used to buy the $3,350,000 mansion in Montville. He took out a one million dollar loan on March 25, 2024. The couple initially did not take out a loan when they bought the property.
Teresa and Louie jointly purchased their New Jersey home, but it’s owned by an LLC – Louie’s business is the owner and his name on the deed, not Teresa’s.
The financials:
“A Mortgage Modification was filed with New Jersey courts on March 24, 2025,” per reports from the publication. Louie “begged a lender for more time to pay back a $1 million mortgage loan after the couple’s tax debt.”
Court papers obtained by The U.S. Sun stated, “the $1 million loan will mature.” That means, the final payment is due, on March 25, 2025. “The Lender has agreed to extend the maturity date to March 25, 2026.”
“The Lender is lending to Borrower an additional loan in the principal sum of 250,000 and Borrower has executed and delivered to Lender, a Mortgage Note for the principal sum of $250,5000.”
“The Borrower shall continue to make payments on the account of interest only as set forth in the Initial Note. On the 1st day of each month until March 25, 2026 on which date the unpaid principal balance, together with accrued interest and all other sums due from the Borrower to the Lender under the Note and Loan Documents shall become immediately due and payable.”
Louie agreed to pay the Lender a loan fee of $5,000.
