Summer House‘s Carl Radke felt grateful that his ex, Lindsay Hubbard, supported his new non-alcoholic bar and café, Soft Bar.
Carl revealed that Gemma’s mom joined several of their castmates in visiting Carl’s first brick-and-mortar.
Full circle back to friendship:
According to Carl, “it felt good” to see Lindsay visit his bar, especially since she was “impressed” with the finished product.
“When she took it in,” Carl explained, “I think she was like, ‘Wow. It’s actually here.’ So she was there, which was really sweet of her to stop by. I was honored that she would take the time and come, given everything that’s happened between us. It was just cool to see that.”
Carl and Lindsay are “on a better path” despite going in “different directions” since he broke off their engagement.
“There are so many mutual connections and friends. There’s so much history, and I would find myself even laughing at stuff from the past with her at times,” he explained. “But we are taking the right step forward, I think, and just kind of going one day at a time.”
The former couple started out as friends, meeting prior to filming Season 1 of “Summer House” in 2016. Viewers saw each of them pursue different relationships until they started dating in Season 7.
The exes announced their engagement in August 2022. But, their messy breakup played out on Season 8, the following summer. The dramatic on-camera conversation where Carl called off their engagement was featured in the season finale.
