Southern Charm‘s Leva Bonaparte was “sad,” but not surprised that Paige DeSorbo broke up with Craig Conover.
Leva’s take on Craig and Paige’s split:
“They really love each other,” explained the star of Southern Hospitality. “Paige would say things to Craig like we would as friends. She didn’t kiss his ass and he never did her.”
“When they broke up it was sad because you could tell they loved each other, but you could also tell there was strain. They both have so much going on.”
“I’ve seen those relationships where sometimes love is maybe not enough. I’m going in this direction; you’re going in this direction. I didn’t foresee how it was going to work. I don’t think [Paige] was ever going to move here. I think she’d wanna stab herself in the eye.”
Also, “I don’t know if Craig would work in New York.” Leva didn’t know if “he’s a New York guy.” Although, “I think he could have a second place there.”
“I wasn’t necessarily shocked. These are big things. It’s a new generation where [women] don’t have to make all those concessions.”
Craig and Paige “could just be a really epic love story.”
The breakup:
The Summer House star took to her podcast, Giggly Squad, to share the news of her split from Craig. “Craig and I have decided to no longer be together.”
However, Craig shared a video with his Instagram followers declaring the breakup was “very, very unexpected, to say the least. But, life has to [go on.] I gotta start living again, whatever that looks like. Whatever my ‘new normal’ looks like, I have to start.”
He continued, “I’m still processing everything, which is normal. It was a three-year relationship. It’s your best friend that you talk to all day, every day, and then they’re just gone.”
