Project Runway judge Law Roach teased PEOPLE with what’s to come from Ariana Grande‘s press tour looks for Wicked: For Good.
Fashionified:
“Oh, baby, there’s a mood board,” Law boasted of the looks he created for Glinda the Good Witch.
“There are hours and hours of fitting and laughing and swearing. It’s just a lot of daydreaming and imagination.”
Law continued, “What people need to know about [Ariana] is her gratitude and appreciation, one to be playing, you know, this role, but also, she’s so excited and grateful to the designers who are making these gowns and dresses for her.”
The celebrity stylist emphasized how fun his styling sessions with the Oscar nominee have become over the years. “We’re both Cancers,” Law explained of their astrological signs. “We both have big personalities and really funny humor. It’s us making each other laugh, lots of jokes.”
Law Roach has described his recent work with Ariana Grande for Wicked: For Good as a fun reunion and “like coming back home.” He has also stated that his goal is not to change her iconic style, but to elevate her “DNA,” which includes her iconic ponytail and thigh-high boots.
In case you missed the her-story between Ariana and Law:
Law, who is widely recognized as a regular guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race, worked with the pop star during promo for her album, My Everything, in 2014.
He styled most of the outfits for the Dangerous Woman Tour and Sweetener World Tour, and served as her stylist for her everyday style and public appearances.
The pair stopped working together in 2020 when Ariana hired a new stylist. However, she and Law have since reunited. In addition to the Wicked and Wicked: For Good press tours, Law styled Grande for the 2025 VMAs.
