Lala Kent hasn’t held space to think about James Kennedy after he was arrested for physically abusing Ally Lewber.
The former Vanderpump Rules star explained her reasoning during an Amazon Live.
Lala’s disengaged:
While Lala didn’t reach out to James, she made a point to contact Ally. “I’ve spoken with Ally … I’ve checked in on her. She wrote me a text back.”
“That’s all I’m gonna share on that topic.”
Regarding James’s domestic violence arrest, Lala declared, “I don’t have many thoughts” on that. The mom of two explained that when you reach a certain age, “You have your own life to worry about.”
“When something happens in someone else’s relationship, first and foremost, you want to” make sure they are ok. “Beyond that, “I really don’t sit and think about anybody else’s relationship. I’m too caught up in what’s going on in my own household.”
Lala clarified, “It’s not to say that I don’t care. But, when you get older and have families, you’re focused on what goes on under your roof.”
“So, I haven’t put much thought into it.”
Lala concluded, “I reached out to Ally, and I’m not going to share anything beyond that.”
Pump Rules fans reacted to Lala’s flippant response:
- The only right answer is โdomestic violence is wrong. I donโt and will not condone itโ
- 1) domestic violence isnโt a private loverโs quarrel, 2) all she did was be up in Ariannaโs relationship with Sandoval in season 11, so Iโm not sure what sheโs smoking when she said sheโs too busy with her own life to worry about anyone elseโs
- She sure had a lot of thoughts to share about other peopleโs relationships on the last season of VPRโฆ is this a recent โas you get olderโ revelation?
- She wanted everyone to acknowledge this type of thing was wrong when it applied to her though. The condescension is irritating – like no one else is a mother or an adult with a family. This whole thing annoyed me ๐
