The Valley‘s Lala Kent and actress Ambyr Childers discussed what went down after Ambyr saw Lala and Randall Emmett‘s sex tape during their podcast, An Unlikely Affair.
Re: the sex tape …
Ambyr told their listeners, “I’ve seen all of you. The front of the back, the inside, the outside. What matters to me is the moment that really shaped me in my life. I knew you guys were together. I knew the affair was happening.”
“At that point,” Ambyr continued, “I had known. I had been tracking [the affair] for at least four or five months.”
Katie Maloney clocked Lala’s affair:
Lala asked Ambyr, “Where were the rumblings coming from for you?”
“I remember when it came up on Vanderpump. Katie Maloney had been at a barbecue . There was a guy who was an actor. His wife had said to Katie, ‘Oh. You’re on that show with that Lala girl. You know she is with blank. That’s when Katie was like, ‘Oh, I have confirmation.’”
Ambyr admitted, “I had known for a while. I didn’t say anything because at that point, this was not the first rodeo for me. In that moment that night with the tape, I didn’t know who was calling in the middle of the night, and I looked at the tape. I’d seen it, and my whole life kind of just stopped.”
The aftermath:
“It wasn’t about what I was seeing in front of me,” explained Ambyr. “It was more that I had completely realized that I had abandoned myself. Because for me, that dysfunction was going on for so many years. [Staying with Randall] felt safe, like leaving never felt safe.”
“I’ll never forget after that tape, after seeing what I saw, it was like I awoke in that moment. I was like, ‘If you don’t leave, you’re going to die, because I really did. I wanted to die. I felt so trapped in that relationship. But, in that moment I realized, ’Okay, I gotta get out.”
Seeing that tape, by the way, you look great in the tape, it wasn’t seeing like the acts that were going on. I saw my life flash before me, like I saw everything.”
