The Hills alum, Kristin Cavallari, told her podcast listeners why she underwent a second breast augmentation surgery.
The reality TV pioneer had a feeling something was wrong with her right boob. She followed her intuition and saw a doctor.
Better safe than sorry:
โSomething in me was telling me to redo my boobs,” explained Kristin. “My intuition was saying, โRedo your boobs. Go get your boobs checked out. At least get a consultation. At least go down this road.โ I canโt tell you why, but something in me was telling me to do it.โ
The Laguna Beach alum said she made an appointment with a plastic surgeon in Nashville โnot necessarily knowing exactly what [she] was gonna do.โ
Kristin’s instinct was spot on:
โWhen [the doctor] saw my boobs, he definitely seemed a little concerned … particularly about my right one. He asked me if Iโve had any issues with it, if itโs changed over the years.โ
Although she โcouldnโt pinpoint when it changed,โ Kristin did notice that her breasts โwere not laying how [she] wanted them to lay.โ She thought “maybe gravity over time had taken hold.โ
Kristin continued, โI could tell he was concerned.”
“We knew something was up.” So, the doctor told her, “OK, well, you get in there and see. See whatโs going on.” She elaborated, โHe knew in that moment she had a ruptured implant. But, he didnโt want to โfreak [her] out.โ
The official diagnosis:
โHe gets in there, and I have a ruptured implant.”
“There is no way of knowing how long this implant was ruptured for.โ She explained that her โbody then formed a huge piece of scar tissue around it.” That’s a good thing, as “it kind of holds it all in place. Itโs your bodyโs way of protecting itself.โ
Kristin continued, โThatโs definitely why my right boob was not laying right, and it was f*cked up! I had a ruptured implant, which is crazy to think about. For me, itโs crazy โcause Iโm like, โI have no idea when that happened, I have no idea how long itโs been going on for.โ I guess maybe I could go through my camera roll and, like, try to figure out when my boobs started going a little f*cking crosseyed.โ
New boobs!
Kristin was โnot readyโ to remove her implants. โIโm 38, Iโm still young, I have a whole life to live, Iโm single. If I were in a long-term relationship, maybe I would take out my implants. I donโt know. But Iโm single right now. Right now in my life is when I need the best boobs imaginable,โ she laughed.
Fans of the Uncommon James founder know how focused KCav is on clean, healthy living. So, she said, โsome people wonโt understandโ her logic in having silicone in her body.
โIf my vanity is gonna come into play with my boobs, and thatโs one area where Iโm like, โYou know what? Yeah, Iโm gonna put silicone in my body. Iโve had it for the last eight and a half years. I was OK. Iโm gonna do it.’โ
โAnd Iโm happy about it! And Iโm gonna be honest with you guys … Doing my boobs is one of the best things Iโve ever done.โ She elaborated, โI love being able to not wear a bra in a shirt, and I love when I take my shirt off when Iโm in a relationship. I feel really good about myself.โ
In an effort to remain transparent, Kristin chose to go a little bigger this time. But only a little. โI was 300 [cubic centimeter] before. Now, Iโm 340.โ
Never forget the time Denise Richards ruptured her implants while filming Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
