After 16 years, Kody Brown and his wife Robyn will not be returning to the popular TLC reality series.
On Monday, Sept. 14, TLC dropped the trailer for Season 21, and with it came the bombshell that the couple has exited the franchise.
“After 16 years of filming Sister Wives, Kody & Robyn will not be returning to the show,” the trailer opened.
Neither Kody nor Robyn, his only remaining wife, commented on their exit in the trailer.
“I don’t know what it means. I have no idea,” Kody’s ex-wife Christine Brown Woolley says in the trailer.
“I was flabbergasted, really, when I got the news,” Janelle Brown says.
Meri Brown adds, “I was actually surprised when I was told that Kody and Robyn weren’t coming back to the show.”
ICYMI: Sister Wives is a TLC reality series that follows the lives of polygamist Kody Brown, his wives, and their large family.
Christine decided to end her spiritual marriage to Kody in 2021 after 25 years and six kids together.
Shortly after, Janelle also split from him after nearly 30 years and six kids together.
Meri was the last of the three to call it quits.
Both Meri and Janelle have since requested spiritual releases from their church to confirm the spiritual end of their marriages to Kody.
Christine later remarried David Woolley in 2023, and Janelle recently hard launched her relationship with a man named Pete.
Kody legally married Robyn (the only remaining wife) in 2014 after legally divorcing Meri.
Sister Wives Season 21 premieres on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
