Controversial RHOC personality Katie Ginella called out Gretchen Rossi and Jennifer Pedranti for posting a video that Katie felt was racially charged.
The first Asian Real Housewives of Orange County star told Page Six that she was offended by her castmates’ video.

The video:
Katie explained, “There’s a very inappropriate video going around where two girls are pretending to fight, squinting their eyes and making Asian faces to Asian sounds.”
The video shows the busty blondes at the gym pretending to do martial arts. They used sound bites from Asian films.
“I’m back on Housewives,” said Gretchen, who previously left the franchise in 2013 after five seasons, before Jen declared: “And we’re ready to defend ourselves.”
They then began to punch and kick a boxing bag as they mouthed along to a track of what some interpreted as Asian voices. At the end, they high-fived each other and walked away.
Katie responded to Gretchen and Jen’s shade:
“It’s very hurtful and very inappropriate,” said Katie. “It’s 2025, and I think we should read the room.”
Katie alleged that Jen and Gretchen reached out to send her “warm regards” as she faces criticism from viewers. She referred to their behavior as “very odd.”
“I feel like throughout the season, it’s brought me back to feeling like how I felt growing up a lot. I’m the ‘only.’ I’m the very first Asian American on Orange County, I’m the very first Korean adoptee.”
She admitted, “So being singled out from this cast, it’s all too familiar. All the feelings.”
RHOC fans had mixed emotions regarding the drama:
- Now it def wasn’t directed towards Katie BUT it was extremely tone deaf. definitely didn’t read the room. Especially with the sounds it was making 😭
- She is reaching… deflect much Katie…
- Waiting for Gretchen and Jen to blame Tamra for the video!
- y’all are to freaking sensitive!!! so now know one can do Karate
- This is not racist. They are saying the housewives is like getting in fights, lol
