Kat Johnston gave an update on her relationship status with deckhand Cooper Dawson.
On the Aug. 10 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked the stewardess where things stand with Cooper.
“I don’t want to ruin it, but we don’t talk every day,” Kat began on Monday night’s episode.
“I’m honestly still confused where we stand,” she continued.
“With him it was always one step forward, three steps back.”
One of the issues the slow-burning Below Deck Med couple faced this season was Kat feeling like Cooper’s attention landed elsewhere.
Especially during nights out, when Cooper prioritized working the room over their budding romance.
“Even to this day I’m still confused on what our relationship was.”
Safe to say this was simply a boatmance — and Cooper confirmed as much on his Instagram Stories.
“Sorry to say, but we’ve been just friends since the end of the season. It was fun to keep it a secret while it lasted until she decided to say I was still confusing her,” Cooper revealed on Aug. 11.
“I 100% made mistakes when this was filmed a year ago and I’ve apologized and thought we moved on as friends. But it seems as though things changed recently, which I respect as maybe seeing it again brought up old tension. Sorry to those I’ve disappointed,” his statement concluded.
