Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss shared tragic news about her beloved Aunt Bertha Jones.
Aunt Bertha, who is 1/3 of the Old Lady Gang, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
Kandi detailed her family’s struggle on Amazon Live.
Aunt Bertha’s health update:
Kandi discussed the difficult and personal family issues that have followed her Aunt’s diagnosis. “We’re having a really hard time because my Aunt Bertha has Alzheimer’s. So, trying to manage that.”
“If anyone’s ever dealt with somebody in your family going through that, and it gets worse, it’s not easy,” she continued. “So… it’s a time.”
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to get all emotional with y’all. Let me move on past that. You know I like to have fun on Amazon Live. I don’t like to deal with the sad things.”

In addition to Bertha, Kandi’ mom, Mama Joyce Jones, and her Aunt Nora Wilco make up the feisty trio. Kandi honored her mom and aunts by opening a restaurant featuring her family’s food.
