Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss responded to her ex-husband, Todd Tucker, after he publicly claimed the former couple had threesomes during “most” of their 11-year marriage.
The Xscape singer addressed Todd’s decision to share intimate details about their relationship in a statement to PEOPLE.
“A man who has already hurt me to my core is furthering the damage by choosing to sensationalize our sex life to stretch his five minutes of fame.”
Kandi made it clear that whatever happened behind closed doors during their marriage should have stayed there. “What consensually happens between a husband and wife in the privacy of their marriage is exactly that: private.”
She also suggested that Todd’s recent comments have only reinforced her decision to end their marriage. “His current behavior has only confirmed that I did the right thing by getting divorced. I Do, I Did, I’m Done!”
Kandi and Todd share two children, Ace (10) and Blaze (6).
