John Fuda‘s issues with the law isn’t limited to selling pot in high school. The husband of Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Rachel Fudaย was arrested in 2008 for a violent home invasion leaving “five victims bound with duct tape at gunpoint.”
New Jersey’sย The Herald-News published an article on Wednesday, November 5th, 2008 regarding a crime in Passaic. The headline stated, “Three Arrested In Home Invasion: Cops say victims bound with tape at gunpoint.”
Details of the crime:
“Five people were bound with duct tape at gunpoint during a home invasion on Portland Avenue Monday night, police said. Three suspects were caught in neighboring Passaic, but police said they believe four more are at large.”
“Johnathan Datria [now John Fuda], 20, of Elmwood Park,” and two others, “face charges of robbery, theft, and unlawful possession of a gun and drugs. The three are being held in the Clifton municipal lockup on $250,000 bail with no 10 percent option.”
“At 11pm Monday, seven people inside two cars pulled up to an apartment on Portland Avenue, where two 24-year-old roommates were entertaining three female guests. Clifton Police Department Captain Robert Rowan said.”
“As three people kept watch outside, the intruders kicked in the door of the apartment and rushed in, brandishing guns. The suspects allegedly ordered all five victims to get down on the kitchen floor, where they were bound with duct tape.”
“Rowan said the suspects then demanded one of the male residents to tell them the location of a stash of drugs and money. When the victim did not cooperate, the suspects pistol-whipped and kicked him as he lay on the floor.”
“The suspects then allegedly ransacked the apartment, taking cellphones, $400, and jewelry. A short time later, Passaic police stopped a black Nissan Frontier nwith the three men inside. Police found the victim’s cellphone and gold watch in the car.” Also found were “black knit caps and a ski mask,” concluded Captain Robert Rowan.
