Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Joe Gorga and his oldest niece, Gia Giudice, re-followed each other on Instagram after years of estrangement.
The Next Gen NYC personality and her Uncle Joe are both slated to appear at BravoCon 2025 this weekend in Las Vegas. (Stay tuned for Taste of Reality’s boots-on-the-ground coverage of BravoCon and Beyond!)
On the precipice of peace:
Joe and Melissa Gorga met up with Teresa Giudice and her husband, Louie Ruelas, earlier this month. The couples agreed to move past the show drama, though it won’t be overnight.
Last month, Gia revealed her hopes that the adults in her family will reconcile, because it has affected the kids. The oldest of Teresa’s four dorters noted how she watched her parents make amends after their 2020 divorce, for the sake of their girls. Watching them remain close gives Gia hope for Teresa’s fractured relationship with the Gorgas.
“Obviously, my mother and father are divorced, and I am extremely close with my dad’s side,” she explained. “So, I think that’s where my sisters and I, we know that it’s possible. There’s still a way and room to have a relationship.”
Gia also revealed that the feud has trickled down to the younger generation, and therefore, she no longer has a relationship with her cousins. She called the estrangement with her cousins “definitely unfortunate.”
