The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives‘ Jessi Ngatikauraย called outย Demi Engemann‘sย timeline for not attending the show’s firstย reunion.
According to the JZ Styles salon owner, Demi’s reasoning wasn’t completely honest.
Timeline๐:
Jessi debunked the time limitations that Demi alleged Hulu gave them. โWe definitely got more than a few days notice. It was a few weeks.”
She noted that Demi made sure to keep her story consistent. “I know she was in Disney.โ But, Jessi reminded us that if there is a will, there is a way. โI actually was hosting a class the day of the reunion. I had 60 people from out of state flying in to learn from me.”
Jesse made it clear, “I still came to the reunion and I lost a lot of money doing that.”
“I would say that if I could make it work, she should have as well.”
Still, Jesse showed empathy for Demi’s situation:
“I understand her situation, and being on a family trip, and with her mom (who is battling cancer), who is going through things. I would never fault her for that.”
“But, I do think it was not to her benefit not to come. There were so many things we said about her that I wish she could have been there to answer.โ
โI do feel like at the end of the day, we all should have been there. And I think that her watching the reunion back is going to create more drama and more tension. So, maybe, weโll need a reunion part 2.โ
What to expect from the SLOMW reunion:
Demi was the one who took โa lot of the heat even though sheโs notโ there, as per Jessi. โWe talk about her a lot so that kind of sucks for her.”
โBut, I think Whitney [Leavitt] got some heat as well.”
“It was just kind of clearing up all the drama from season 1 and seeing where weโre at with her. But, I feel like everyone had their chance in the hot seat. So, itโs going to be a good reunion.โ
โI feel like we all came out of it a little bit closer and able to put things like water under the bridge. Even more of it will play out in the next season. It answers things, but it also begs more questions that will then be answered.โ
