Jennifer Tilly is beautiful, hilarious, talented … and riiiiiiiiccccchhhhhh. The instantly iconic Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ‘friend of‘ shared personal details from her marriage, divorce, and settlement from The Simpson‘s creator, Sam Simon.
RHOBH fans were flabbergasted by Jennifer’s wealth post-settlement:
“It takes a really long time to get over a divorce,” recalled The Bride of Chucky actress. “My ex-husband was Sam Simon, who [co-created] The Simpsons. I was married to him for seven years. We were together for about 10 years, and then when we got divorced, I got a piece of The Simpsons in the divorce settlement.”
“Nobody knew that The Simpsons was going to go on for trillions of years.” She explained that she looks around every day and acknowledges her ex. “Honestly, every day, I’m like, ‘Thank you Sam!'”
A Taste of Reality from Jennifer Tilly:
It’s no secret Sutton Stracke‘s close friend has “always been a superfan” of RHOBH, so she was excited to get the invitation to film. But, Jennifer admitted filming isn’t as glamorous as she thought it would be.
“A lot of the filming that they do is in the Valley,” explained Jennifer. They film “in places where it’s easier to get permits. So it’s not like you’re at the fanciest places in Beverly Hills, arguing.”
She elaborated, “They’re usually arguing at some kind of non–Beverly Hills place because the really fancy, elite places don’t want Housewives screaming at each other in their dining room.”
Jennifer made a very generous analogy about working on RHOBH. “To me, it’s like working with Martin Scorsese. My boyfriend always says if he got $40 million, he wants to go into space and experience zero gravity. To me, being on Housewives is experiencing zero gravity. I was more excited to meet Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne and the other ladies than I was when I met Elizabeth Taylor.”
