Grab a dirty soda and celebrate the good news that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives West Coast spinoff show is in the works!
PEOPLE confirmed that a the plan is for it to begin shooting this spring and premiere in the fall. Allegedly, the show will be set in Orange County.
As of now, Jen Affleck is the only original cast member who will star in the spinoff alongside nine new castmates.
Zac Affleck posted photos hinting their family moved out west:
Over the weekend, Zac shared a series of photos of the couple and their children as they enjoyed themselves on a beach in California.
The family could be seen playing in the sand, enjoying ice cream, and smiling for the camera as they spent time out in the sun. Zac captioned the post, “excited for new beginnings.”
Some fans took the post as confirmation that the couple had found a place to live in Southern California, after Jen previously confirmed that the pair were going to be moving to Los Angeles.
Rumors of a West Coast spinoff began last month:
Production sources spilled to TMZ that “a pilot episode has already been filmed and shopped around. Now it’s simply a waiting game for a full series pickup. If it gets the official green light, the show could start filming within weeks!”
In late February, it was said that the goal is for cameras to start rolling again in March. That all hinges on a network or streamer adding it to their roster. “The foundation is there, and now it’s decision time.”
As for location, the insider said the show is “primarily based in Orange County,” California. However, there’s “a strong buzz it could be in Los Angeles instead.”
While the cast hasn’t been publicly revealed, our source swears it’s “so good.” They teased that “fans may recognize a few familiar faces stepping into larger roles with their own dedicated storylines.”
