Former star of The Valley, Jax Taylor, had his lawyers go on the record to state that he’s not the one holding up divorce proceedings and that Brittany Cartwright is the one stalling.
Jax’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan told Us Weekly that “Jax has been wanting to move this case forward to completion for a long time.”
“The idea that he is the reason holding up the divorce is completely false. Jax is doing everything he can to move forward.”
Kaplan claimed that Brittany’s legal team was “underprepared” going into the exes’ recent court date. Brittany had no documents and no financial documents prepared. “That rendered the entire process and the hearing useless.”
“Jax believes it’s in everyone’s best interest, especially their son’s interest, and is hopeful Brittany’s side will achieve that goal. It’s impossible to settle a case when only one party is seemingly motivated to do so.”
Tension has been high between Cruz’s parents since it was revealed that Jax was in an intimate relationship with their longtime publicist, Lori Krebs. Brittany cut professional ties with Lori.
