Huda Beauty has officially cut ties with Love Island USA alum Huda Mustafa following the social media firestorm surrounding her handling of a racist incident on TikTok Live.
The beauty brand posted a statement on Instagram announcing the end of their partnership:
“While we valued the partnership we had with Huda, her recent behavior, and the way the situation has been handled does not reflect our brand’s principles. As a result, we have decided to end our partnership and remove any related content from our social platforms and in-store displays.”
ICYMI: Huda and her boyfriend, Louis Russell, were on TikTok Live earlier this week when they accepted a call from an anonymous viewer.
The caller used the N-word and instead of shutting it down, both Huda and Louis laughed before ending the call.
The couple later alleged they didn’t realize the caller was directing the slur toward fellow Season 7 castmate Olandria Carthen.
But the cast wasn’t buying it.
A wave of Islanders — including Iris Kendall, Amaya Espinol, and Chelley Bissainthe — spoke out in support of Olandria and against racism.
Even JaNa Craig commented directly on Huda Beauty’s IG post, celebrating the brand for cutting ties:
“Love to see it.”
Many fans noted that the initial statement Huda posted after the incident lacked accountability, empathy, or a direct apology.
The apology only evolved after the backlash grew…making it feel performative rather than sincere.
Because yes, someone may be caught off guard in a live moment…
But the follow-up? That’s where character shows.
