Hannah Smith issued both an apology and excuse for going off on a racist rant and assaulting an officer after a Gracie Abrams concert. The season 6 Love Island USA contestant took to her Instagram story to address her arrest.
Note: Hannah didn’t feel this “sincere apology” was grid-worthy, it exists for only 24 hours in her story.
An apology …
The Peacock personality “wanted to take a moment to address the recent events that took place at the concert [she] attended in Atlanta. “I deeply regret the circumstances that led to my arrest on September 30th. I understand the impact and the severity of my actions and words, and I am deeply sorry.”
Additionally, she took “responsibility” for her actions. “I apologize to all of those that were affected by my behavior, especially the officer and the black community, whom I insulted and disrespected.”
… and an excuse:
“This experience has been incredibly humbling and challenging because I simply have no recollection of that night. This is out of my character and I would truly never say things of that nature to hurt anyone.”
“All I can do is ask for forgiveness, in time, and to change my behavior and learn from this experience.”

According to police documents obtained by TMZ … the reality TV star was at a concert in Atlanta when she was “escorted out for being disorderly.” An officer intervened to get her into an Uber, but the reality star went awol. Allegedly, Hannah tried punching the cop with a closed fist.
